The Southern California Catholic Educational Excellence Foundation (SCCEEF) was founded in 2018 for the purpose of assisting families with high school age student-athletes who could not afford to attend Catholic high schools in Los Angeles and Orange Counties even after financial aid was provided to them by the schools to which their daughters and sons were accepted.
The focus of SCCEEF is to bridge the gap between the financial aid granted by the schools to which student-athletes have been accepted for admission and the amount which families can actually afford to pay for tuition. The inability of so many families to close that gap is the reason the Foundation exists.
Since SCCEEF’s formation as a non-profit enterprise, there have been many success stories, the most important of which is the academic development of future leaders in a faith based educational environment.
One of SCCEEF’s 2018 beneficiaries earned All-California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section honors in football as a sophomore while maintaining a 3.6 grade point average at one of the most highly regarded Catholic college preparatory schools in the state. That young man‘s accomplishments in the classroom and on the playing field exemplify why tax deductible donations to SCCEEF are so important.
The Foundation is truly transforming lives in making quality Catholic college preparatory education possible for deserving student-athletes who would otherwise be unable to attend Catholic high schools that provide the best opportunity for future life success.
